THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER ♩ ♬

The Black Dahlia Murder is Extreme Metal band. Formed in 2000 and some time later established themselves at the forefront of the then-growing U.S. metal scene when they released their first full-length Metal Blade debut Unhallowed in June 2003. Launch critically praised album, however, it is only the beginning of an epic journey that will find the Detroit, Michigan, quintet dealing with personnel issues (founding member drummer Cory Grady was replaced by Zach Gibson) and a nonstop touring continued their journey on the road for almost two years of playing with different bands like The Red Chord, Arch Enemy, Napalm Death and Terror. But those experiences ultimately had a profound influence their Metal Blade release, Poison. "The road is what really makes poison what it is," vocalist Trevor Strand said. "Most of the content here is a direct result of our experience in the band."
Not surprisingly, then, that the madness Poison reflect life on the road for five men, barely above the legal drinking age, who were playing a row of shows in North America and Europe. "It's a bit more personal lyrically, ranging from the national anthem of cheap sex and drug use to more classic Black Dahlia Murder horror style," says Strand. "I've tried to reinvent BDM lyrically here. Still dark. There are still really evil shit."

Strnad growth as a lyricist is only one way to expand the band's sound in Poison.Guitarist Brian Eschbach contributed more to the writing process while his colleague John Kempainen wrote and played solos for every song. As a result, The Black Dahlia Murder-round by bassist Dave Lock-has created an album that reflects the bonding of cement by the band's two-year odyssey. Recorded and co-produced with the band by Scarlet drummer Andreas Magnusson at Planet Red Studio in Richmond, Virginia, a deadly poison is a re-creation of The Black Dahlia Murder's nefariously bad melodic death metal sound. This is a voice that just Kempainen describes as "more resentful."Strand saw another improvement, too, however. "A new song that was much heavier than anything on Unhallowed," he said. "We're making a conscious effort to challenge ourselves as players and give each song its own identity. And the addition of Zach has allowed us as a unit to write more complex and interesting arrangements."

Poison is the latest chapter in the ever-twisted saga of The Black Dahlia Murder. As a long-unsolved murder of a young Hollywood star that the band took its name from, The Black Dahlia Murder appeal is deep and dark, terror filled exploration of extreme sounds and vicious brutality. And that is one step closer to the top of the band is still aiming for his views. "I feel that we have not achieved our primary," says Strand, "but the poison is many steps closer to where we want. We've got a better band in 2005 and now the record to show for it."

Their new album, Nocturnal, was released on September 18, 2007.
In May 2009, The Black Dahlia Murder released their first DVD, "Your Majesty". DVD containing a documentary and live footage from the Summer Slaughter tour and their tour supporting Children of Bodom at the end of 2008. DVD also contains all their music videos and behind the scenes footage. [10]
